Aston Martin and Hearth of Racing,
It really happened!
Lance Stroll as Elon Musk: a dreamer and visionary capable of resurrecting Aston Martin from its ashes! What a dream! How beautiful! Yay!!! The news is bouncing around on social media and the various motor sports channels and only. By now it’s official: Imsa + Wec for the interstellar pairing that gave birth to the Valkyrie project that will participate in the 24h of Le Mans from 2025. Less than two years, then, to arrive ready, competitive, fast, hyper for the most important race in the world! What should we expect from this pairing made by senior Stroll? Definitely a seat for junior who in F1 does not shine, cannot find the light at the end of the tunnel and navigates dark and troubled waters caused by the Spanish hurricane, that Fernando Alonso guy.
“It is a privilege to be able to bring Aston Martin back to the top of endurance racing with Heart of Racing. Our team has grown exponentially since we started racing with Aston Martin at Daytona in 2020. We have developed our own systems and technologies to get maximum performance from the cars we race. Our knowledge of the Valkyrie is deep, as we have been working closely with it for two years because of our customer activation programs. The team has great ambitions, and we believe this is absolutely the right time to enter the premier classes of the WEC and IMSA to challenge the overall winners. This is not an easy goal, but thanks to our partners and the support of Aston Martin Performance Technologies we have all the tools and capabilities to achieve the goal.” Ian James, Team Principal of the team
Let’s look a bit at the tech: The car will be developed in Aston Martin Performance Technology – home of the Formula 1 team ed – the Valkyrie, already destined for racing is under review for compliance with WEC and IMSA technical regulations. The heart of the greenback? The beloved 6,500 cc naturally aspirated V12.
A toy for the lucky few in the world who already have this irrational goddess in their hands! It is worth mentioning one detail: Zero electronic controls and for that matter, the power output is handled entirely by the driver and his foot without help!
There is one more year to suffer, then the dream will come true.
Thank you Aston Martin!
Motorsport is beautiful
